Short video about Kiwi House Swap and people's experiences using the site and with house swapping.

What a great idea! I was about to spend a fortune on a hotel for my partner and I to go to Wellington for a wedding, but found a fantastic house swap opportunity on the site. Easy peasy. No problems...

Hello, I'm a bit of an adventurous soul and while I live in an idyllic spot I love nothing better than heading off someplace somewhere....I am more than happy to set off on my own to a new location so I can wander and explore, but I'm also super happy when my partner isn't on some movie set somewhere and we can do that together. I know you are going to love being in my spot for awhile as its pretty jolly special and I likewise will enjoy and look forward to what you have to offer. My children (5) are all grown up and making their way in life, so I'm loving having time to explore further afield. During the milder periods of the year we often set off in a vintage '67 Airstream I imported from Canada and head where the wind blows us or if those movies are in the way again on my own. Either way I enjoy the travels immensely.

Property description and facilities

This is a gorgeous architecturally designed home sitting on 17 acres of land that enjoys 360 degree views of the whole of the Wairarapa Valley, including rivers, mountains, lakes, native bush and the most awe inspiring sunrises and sunsets.
It's spacious, with large outdoor decks for summer and wood burner and double glazing for cosy winter nights.
I have a very popular small dwelling on the property on Airbnb under Greytown Hideaway - Spectacular Views that you can check out. I enjoy a super host status, a testimony of the effort and pride I put into it and every guest enjoys.

Location description and facilities

Greytown is a Mecca for tourists and is a short 5 minute drive away. It was the first settled small town in NZ and is the gorgeous hub of the Wairarapa with boutique shops and cafes abounding.
Martinborough (I grew up there) is just a short 10 minute drive away and is famous for its vineyards and Pinot wines.
You will be overlooking a river and I love nothing better than packing a picnic lunch with some bubbles and heading down there for a picnic on the rivers edge. If trout fishing is your thing then this is your spot.
The Wairarapa is an outdoor playground - you have the mountains with all the tramping you require for an enthusiast, biking trails abound, the rivers and oceans are short drives away where one can canoe and surf to their hearts content, quaint historic towns with everything to satisfy the shopper and foodie and famous wines and vineyards.
