What a great idea! I was about to spend a fortune on a hotel for my partner and I to go to Wellington for a wedding, but found a fantastic house swap opportunity on the site. Easy peasy. No problems...

About us

Member ID: 12664

We are a Kiwi family of 4 lucky enough to be living on the beautiful Waiheke Island after many years in London. Our two boys George (8) and Charlie (5) were born in London, but are Kiwi kids at heart who love the outdoors. We work in the wine industry, love to travel and would consider ourselves foodies. We live in a characterful renovated cottage in the quiet streets of Blackpool - a perfect base to explore the island. We are 5 mins walk to the village and two of the most beautiful swimming beaches. House swapping appeals not only as a way for us to explore our beautiful country but to share the magic of Waiheke with people.

Property description and facilities

Small put perfectly formed, our characterful cottage is located in peaceful Blackpool (southern side of Oneroa) and is equipped with everything you need to enjoy Waiheke's special slow pace. Sleeps max 6, with 3 bedrooms inside - 2 single beds, 1 super king, and a queen in the sleep-out.

Entertain at any time of the day - outdoor dining table and chairs located under a UV resistant pergola. At the end of a busy day kick back on the deck with beanbags and relax under the cantilevered outdoor umbrella.

In winter you'll be kept snug with our indoor fireplace and heat pump, coffee machine and cedar hot tub.

Set on a flat section (rarity on Waiheke!) our home is perfectly located for leisurely days at the beach, cycling and walking in the bush, visiting wineries, cafes and local village shops.
