What a great idea! I was about to spend a fortune on a hotel for my partner and I to go to Wellington for a wedding, but found a fantastic house swap opportunity on the site. Easy peasy. No problems...

About us

Member ID: 24899

We are a German/Spanish couple and moved to NZ 10 years ago with our 5 children aged between 15 and 6 years. At the moment only the 2 youngest still live with us, the 2 oldest are back in Europe and the middle one is about to finish his university studies in Christchurch. Matthias is a General Practitioner 3 days per week and Elena has a B&B, we also own a bike shop in Thames. We also have 2 cats (a shy and a very social one) that would stay home and would need some easy look-after. During our time in NZ we have been always in Thames, We love it here and enjoy the whole Coromandel Peninsula. It is also very convenient to get to Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga for the day, all just a 1.5 hour drive away.
