Our house is a small (100sqm) 2bedroom wooden gem on a sloping section 800sqm, with a rambling native garden, in a small subdivision overlooking wetlands. We're close enough to walk to Bethells Beach (20min or 3min drive) & beautiful Lake Wainamu (15mins across sand dunes). It is set in a relaxed, creative, west coast beach community with friendly locals, walking tracks, swimming in the lake or sea, bodyboarding & surfing. Over summer a great local Cafe opens, if the weather's clear, with really good coffee & food, & music on Friday nights. Central Auckland is 45mins away & supermarkets/shopping centres 25mins.
