Perched on a hill at the top of the drive you will find our spacious 4 bedroom home that comes with spectacular views day and night of the Tauranga City estuary and harbor. You can relax on our front deck or sunny lounge bay window and watch the cruise ships come into port, in summer they arrive and leave most days. Our home is all within walking distance to the Brookfield New World supermarket with cafe, Brookfield shopping area (with a great bakery and fish n’chip shop!), and the beautiful daisy hardwick walk where you can walk or ride a bicycle with a shopping precinct halfway round for a pit stop and bite to eat (approx 10km loop). Its what makes our area special!
We live in a well established central suburb of Tauranga in a great safe neighbourhood with quiet neighbours and set back from the road with little to no traffic noise.
We are moments from the expressway that takes you directly into Mount Maunganui (approx 15 min car ride), the new Tauranga Crossing shopping precinct at the lakes, or 45 mins car ride to Rotorua! Tauranga is central Bay of Plenty where you have beautiful beaches, bush walks, rivers, waterfalls, lakes and farmland all on your door step and a perfect location to explore the surrounding areas … and not to forget the winery’s nearby, Mills Reef to name one, only a 8 minute car ride away in Bethlehem.
We invite you to make yourself at home in our house, put your feet up and enjoy your Tauranga holiday! Our home is a lovely renovated 1960s two leveled house with a spacious open plan design. The top level has an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen with decks off both the front and back. The lounge has a bi folding door to give access to a large front deck that is bathed in sunshine all day … and THAT view! Off our kitchen is another deck with a BBQ straight off the kitchen window to pass through the snarlers, an outdoor seating area for your late afternoon drinks and dinner, all whilst the kids can jump on the trampoline or get the firepit ready for roasting those marshmallows for supper (wood provided).
Off the dinning area is what we call the ‘kids wing’ and bathroom. This is where the 3 bedrooms are located with a beautiful handcrafted bathroom with adjoining laundry area. Downstairs is a parents retreat with a spacious bedroom area, small ensuite, tv, and a ranch slider door to a patio area. Although the garage is not available during the swap, we have plenty of parking outside our house, even enough for a boat/motorhome. If you had small children upstairs, a monitor would work in the ‘kids wing/hallway’ which works well downstairs for you to listen out for them.
We do have a fenced area out the back with a kennel and would allow a small dog.
We have children of our own, therefore there are a few toys for kids to play with and wooden chest of board games.
Im slowly adding on more photos so theres still to come!
We would be looking for swaps in the North Island at, happy to do weekend swaps for nearby locations or school holiday swaps during the year. House swapping is the way to go for us to reduce accommodation costs and to take our children to different parts of N.Z! Our dream swap would be Gold Coast Australia or Rarotonga but would consider other international locations.
Look forward to hearing from you!
