THINGS TO DO AND SEE (www.visitsunshinecoast.com)

BEACHES: The Sunshine Coast is full of beautiful beaches so you are spoilt for choice. From Kings Beach in Caloundra to Mooloolaba to Noosa and everything in between you can't go wrong. Mooloolaba main beach is only a 15-minute drive away straight down the sunshine motorway. Personal favourites of ours include Cotton Tree (the mouth of the Maroochy River) and Tea Tree Bay in Noosa. For calmer waters try The Spit at Mooloolaba or Lake Currimundi (our favourite for kids). For a beautiful coastal drive, take the Sunshine Motorway heading towards Noosa. Exit off at Peregian Beach and from there drive the gorgeous stretch of road to Noosa.

HINTERLAND: The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is also a beautiful place to visit. The townships of Maleny and Montville in particular are definitely worth a trip. These picture perfect towns are located high in the Blackall Range where you'll enjoy stunning views to the coastline and lush green rolling hills. Whilst there enjoy a trip to the Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird World, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardener's Falls, Kondalilla Falls, Maleny Dairies, Maleny Cheese and numerous arts n crafts galleries and dining options.

ADVENTURE: If you like adventure and sports, there are so many wonderful activities for you to enjoy on the Sunshine Coast from hiring boats, kayaks, SUP and catamarans to coastal cruises in Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and Noosa. Surfing, Fishing, Diving, Whale Watching, Skydiving, Helicopter and Sea Plane tours, hiking, biking and golf just to name a few! If you like walking and hiking, my personal faves are climbing Mt Coolum and hiking through Noosa National Park. For detailed information on where to go and book these wonderful adventures - please go to www.visitsunshinecoast.com

ATTRACTIONS: From the famous Australia Zoo to the fun-filled theme park Aussie World there are a number of great attractions on the Sunshine Coast. For animal adventures you can't beat Australia Zoo, Wildlife HQ and Sea Life Sunshine Coast. For water fun try Aqua Fun Park Twin Waters or Aqua Park Coolum. Kids of all ages (including big kids ☺) will love the rides at Aussie World or the Big Boing Indoor Trampoline Park or Lazerzone. The Ginger Factory in Yandina is also an iconic attraction on the coast. Brochures on all of these wonderful attractions are included in the Studio.

SHOPPING AND MARKETS: The Sunshine Coast's largest shopping centre is Sunshine Plaza located in Maroochydore (approximately 15 minutes drive away). It has a huge range of stores from supermarkets to fashion, health and beauty, food and dining and also a cinema (Events Cinema). For more information please visit www.sunshineplaza.com Other popular boutique shopping hotspots include Mooloolaba Esplanade and Hasting Street Noosa. There are a number of very popular markets on the Sunshine Coast. Some of the most popular and famous markets are Eumundi Markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Yandina Plant and Produce Markets on Saturdays and Caloundra Street Fair, Noosa Marina Markets, Peregian Beach Markets and Fisherman's Road Markets on Sundays. For more detailed information on the markets please visit: https://www.sunshinecoast-australia.com/sunshine-coast-markets.html
