We are a family of six who love living in Eastbourne; a village by the sea. Eastbourne is located a 30 minute drive, or 20 minute ferry ride away from Wellington city, and a 20 minute bus or car ride to Lower Hutt. Our house is a two minute walk from a swimming beach and we have a kayak and a couple of bikes that you are free to use. Eastbourne Village is also a five minute walk away. It has a local supermarket, library, chemist, fruit shop, butcher and cafes etc. There are also three primary schools minutes away. Tennis courts and various bush walks are minutes away also. We think Eastbourne is ideal; it's a lovely seaside village but is close to a city if you feel like visiting Wellington and all it has to offer.
