Short video about Kiwi House Swap and people's experiences using the site and with house swapping.

What a great idea! I was about to spend a fortune on a hotel for my partner and I to go to Wellington for a wedding, but found a fantastic house swap opportunity on the site. Easy peasy. No problems...

About us

Member ID: 7460

Wellington area only. We are in our early 60s living in a beautiful area of Mapua, a busy village and holiday destination between Nelson and Motueka. We have no pets and are looking, ideally, to spend at least 4 to 7 months in Wellington to be near our grandchildren for a while from mid April if possible, would consider a shorter period OR if we have like minded people, just doing frequent swaps throughout the year a few weeks at a time. Nelson area gets lovely sunshine hours in winter and lovely autumn and spring weather. We felt house swaps would be a better alternative to renting our home then looking for some where to live in wellington region for a few months with all that entails. Our grandchildren are in Miramar so the closer we are to them the better but would consider other areas.
