We had a very successful two week house swap with this family in January 2020. Their home is a lovely place to stay, was very clean and we loved the location close to the river path and also a short walk to the beach. We had great communication leading up to the house swap and shared detailed house documents prior, making it a smooth and easy transition- a wonderful holiday for us. We loved their cat too! We are semi-retired and enjoy the fact that we now have more time to spend with our grandchildren. We both keep fit and in particular love cycling. I was a Police Officer for many years and now work part time at Outward Bound and do a bit of mentoring. My wife is an Early Childhood Teacher and still does relief teaching. Every year we plan what we call adventures - cycling in France, canoing the Whanganui River and riding the many excellent trails in New Zealand. During the holidays we like to have our grandchildren around and take them fishing, cycling or swimming.
On the amazing Kapiti Coast our house is well located for both the beach and for the river trails. The two story house is in a relatively new area of Waikanae Beach. The section is fully fenced and although the back yard is small there is a great outdoor area for entertaining. The house is on two levels and two of the bedrooms have ensuites. There is a double garage with internal access and open plan living on the main level.

Very safe swimming beach within 10 minutes walk
Waikanae Golf Course 5 minutes drive
Three cafes within 15 minutes walking
Childrens playground about 10 minutes walk away
