What a great idea! I was about to spend a fortune on a hotel for my partner and I to go to Wellington for a wedding, but found a fantastic house swap opportunity on the site. Easy peasy. No problems...

We are an outside family of 4 with 2 girls 7&8 years old. We spend our time hiking, biking, skiing and camping. Papa is originally from Austria - and if you know anything about Austrian's you will know they are incredibly respectful of property and place and very clean!
Alpine chalet stye house, spread over 3 layers with elevated expansive views across the lake to the Remarkables. Private backyard in a suburban neighbourhood, a hop, skip, jump from Queenstown Bay.
2 x double rooms with Queen beds + 2 x children rooms with single beds.
House was recently renovated and is cosy with wood burner + a heat pump to take the edge off while the fire heats up. 2 x bathrooms (1 x shower & 1 x bath) with heated flooring.
Modern kitchen.
It is 40min bush walk to town or a 5 minute drive - buses come every 15mins to the bottom of the road and cost just $2 a ride with Beecard.
Enjoy everything Queenstown has to offer and return home to a house with character.
Whats not to do in Queenstown?
Turn right and drive to Moke Lake or further to Wilson Bay for a swim or mountain bike, the road ends in Glenorchy at the top of the lake.
Turn left and enjoy the restaurants and bars of Queenstown, shopping, botanic gardens, lakeside walks, gondola, luge, jet boating and lake cruising.
Explore further to Arrowtown and the Arrow and Kawarau rivers - wineries, hiking, biking, rafting etc etc etc
